The newly constructed office of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces’ (RFMF) Veiliutaki Framework Unit was officially opened today, August 18, 2025, at the Officers Training Centre in Vatuwaqa.

The occasion was officiated by the New Zealand High Commissioner to Fiji, Her Excellency (H.E.) Ms. Charlotte Darlow.

In her address, H.E. Ms. Darlow expressed New Zealand’s pride in supporting the Veiliutaki Framework and its contribution to nation-building.

“When our team considers what makes the biggest impact both at home and internationally, it always comes back to leadership and governance—leading yourself, your teams, your organizations, and ultimately, your country,” she said.

“As we observe Fiji engaging in open discussions about nation-building, it is a privilege for New Zealand to be part of this journey in supporting the Veiliutaki Framework,” she added.

The modern office facilities were made possible through the generous support of the New Zealand High Commission and will serve as the operational hub for the Veiliutaki Framework.

In her remarks, Her Excellency also announced the New Zealand Government’s support to fund the construction of a long-term RFMF Leadership Centre, a major step forward in building enduring leadership capacity for the future.
