𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗙𝗶𝗷𝗶 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟭𝟮 𝘁𝗼 𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗢𝗙 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻

On Monday, 21 July 2025, the Deputy Force Commander of the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF), Brigadier General (Brig-Gen) Eamon Patrick Lenaghan of the Australian Defence Force, paid an official visit to the new Fiji Battalion 12 contingent. The purpose of his visit was to formally welcome the newly deployed troops and to meet with the new Commanding Officer of the Fiji Batt, Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Isireli Dugu.

Upon arrival, Brig-Gen Lenaghan was honored with a Quarter Guard by the Fiji Battalion—a traditional military ceremony symbolizing deep respect and recognition for his rank and position. This ceremonial welcome marked the beginning of a productive engagement between the UNDOF leadership and the new Fijian contingent.
