The Prime Minister of Australia, Honorable (Hon.) Anthony Albanese, arrived in Fiji on Friday, 13 June 2025, for his first official visit.

Upon arriving at Nadi International Airport, Hon. Albanese was accorded a ceremonial fifty-man guard of honour by the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF). He was formally received by the RFMF Deputy Commander, Commodore Humphrey Tawake, who escorted the Australian leader to the dais for the review of the guard.

Following the ceremonial proceedings, Hon. Albanese met with Fiji’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Hon. Biman Prasad.
