Commodore Natuva, born on February 8, 1980, in Nausori, Fiji, began his naval journey in 1999. Over the past 25 years, he has risen through the ranks, holding key positions such as Maritime Commander, Support Commander, and Fleet Operations Officer. His extensive experience spans maritime security, humanitarian missions, and international peacekeeping, including deployments in Iraq and the Golan Heights under United Nations mandates.
Commodore Natuvaโ€™s leadership has been instrumental in shaping the Fiji Navyโ€™s operational capabilities. His command roles aboard patrol boats and at the Navy Training Base have strengthened Fijiโ€™s maritime readiness. Internationally, he served as Chief Liaison Officer for the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF), where he mediated between Syrian and Israeli forces, earning accolades for his diplomatic and tactical acumen.
A lifelong learner, Commodore Natuva holds advanced degrees in Military and Defence Studies from the Australian National University and National Security from Deakin University.
