The Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) Commander Land Forces, Brigadier General (Brig-Gen) Onisivoro Covunisaqa, participated in the Land Forces Pacific (LANPAC) 2025 Symposium and Exposition, held from Tuesday 13th to Thursday 15th May at the Sheraton Waikīkī, Hawaii.
Brig-Gen Covunisaqa was accompanied by his Land Forces Sergeant Major (LFSM), Warrant Officer Class One (WO1) Sireli Qiolele.
The annual three-day symposium gathered military leaders, international allies and partners, defence industry stakeholders, and academic experts to discuss the evolving role of land forces in the Indo-Pacific. Key discussions focused on enhancing cooperation, strategic readiness, and interoperability in both peacetime and conflict operations.
LANPAC serves as a critical platform for advancing joint force integration and regional security. The event also included bilateral meetings between army leaders, providing opportunities to strengthen military ties and foster strategic partnerships across the region.
