The Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF), led by Commander Naval Division Commodore Timoci Natuva and accompanied by officers, men, and women of the RFMF, attended a special reception hosted by the Chinese Embassy on September 3, 2025, to mark the 80th Anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance and the World Anti-Fascist War.

The reception was also part of China’s national commemoration of the end of World War II. The event began with a shared lunch between RFMF representatives and Embassy staff, fostering continued camaraderie and diplomatic relations.

The highlight of the event was a live broadcast of the Grand Parade in Beijing, where attendees witnessed one of China’s largest military parades. The RFMF’s presence underscored Fiji’s ongoing commitment to strengthening defence and diplomatic ties with China.
