April 11, 2025The Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) today marked the official opening of the Coral Sustainer 2025โMilitary Instructors Course at the Logistic Support Unit (LSU) Tender Board Room in Queen Elizabeth Barracks, Nabua.
The official opening address was delivered by Australian Defence Force (ADF), Armyโs 7th Combat Service Support Battalion, Lieutenant (Lt) Rebecca Rasmussen, who is also leading the course facilitation team from the ADF.
In her remarks, Lt Rasmussen emphasised the shared commitment to enhanced professionalism, instructional excellence, and regional cooperation between the ADF and RFMF.
The Coral Sustainer course aims to provide essential instructor development training for RFMF logistics non-commissioned officers (NCOs), equipping them with the foundational skills needed to conduct structured and effective military training.
This initiative directly aligns with both Commander RFMF (CRFMF) and Commander Land Forces (CLF) intent to enhance the professionalism, instructional capability, and self-reliance of RFMF personnel.
The training also reinforces the RFMFโs ongoing commitment to the formalization and documentation of logistic training, aligned with the strategic vision to build institutional knowledge and long-term operational effectiveness.
Additionally, the Coral Sustainer course not only highlights the enduring strength of regional partnerships between the RFMF and ADF but also fosters interoperability and mutual understandingโwhile equipping participants with the skills and confidence to lead, instruct, and inspire within the RFMFโs ongoing professional development efforts.
In attendance were the LSU Second-in-Command, Major Tupou Colati, ADF course instructors, and participants from both the RFMF Logistic Support Unit and the Engineers Regiment.
